Introduction

The Arusha Node Marie Internet Society (nicknamed the Marie Node or the Arusha Node) is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) with a difference. We are a Non-Profit society of members, which offers internet services at cost, and has done so in Arusha and nearby towns in Tanzania since 1994.

"habari.co.tz" is our registered internet domain name. The word Habari? is a friendly Swahili greeting, generally meaning "What's the news?"

Mission Statement

ANM is a user owned and controlled society committed to providing and encouraging the use of quality Internet Service to the public through membership and philanthropic activities at affordable prices.

The Society currently has over 800 members, and is growing consistently. Membership of the Arusha Node is broad-based and includes local companies (especially safari companies), NGOs, religious groups, research institutions and private individuals. The Arusha Node provides Arusha with efficient access to the outside world and availability of up-to-date communications. Our aims are to provide reliable internet services to our members, and to respond to local needs for internet facilities.
