Member access
is provided in several ways:
- Dial-up
modem.
Some of our members use a modem in their computer to connect to
ANM by the local telephone line. This allows both e-mail and internet
service.
- Digital
Subsriber LIne(DSL). In most areas of Arusha town, ANM offers
DSL connections to our network. DSL is a dedicated copper wire
that is exclusive to your connections. This is your connection
of preference. The first part of the connection in some areas
is on Fibre optic cable.
- Wireless.
ANM can serve anywhere from Kia Airport, Usa River, Tengeru, and
out past Ngaremtoni. We have been running wireless for more than
5 years.
- High Frequency
(HF)Radio.
For those who do not have telephone access and are far from Arusha,
it is possible to use a standard HF radio with a special modem.
This allows e-mail service, though not internet. It works anywhere
in East Africa.
Corporate
membership is possible for organisations that require multiple
e-mail addresses, network access to the internet or other additional
facilities. Special membership may be available for those who require
other specific services.
Membership
fees depend on the level of service required.
